Spreading the word about Homes For London

Another collection of work that has kept the Blaines busy is the new Shelter campaign, ‘Homes For London‘. The viral videos are to raise the issue of housing within London and the ever-increasing prices. Do watch and help spread the word: ‘The Team‘, ‘The Phonecall‘ and ‘The Visitors‘.

New Comedy At Popcorn Comedy

The Blaines have been busy in every sense of the word and there are some new sketches to be previewed at this month’s Popcorn Comedy. Following on from the festival favourite and BIFA nominated 0507, we’re seeing some more insights into the world of onscreen couple Cariad Lloyd and Fraser Millward. Get yourself down to The Roxy this coming Thursday at 7:30pm where you’ll not only see some cracking comedy shorts, but the comedic delights of Isy Suttie, Carly Smallman and Mae Martin. This month it’s being presented by The Poke. You have been warned, comedy will happen.

0507 at Tres Courts

Our short film “0507” will be screening at Festival International Des Tres Courts this coming May. The festival screens the films across select days simultaneously in around many cities in France as well as fifteen other countries. The festival runs from 4th – 13th and also includes a programme called ‘Women’s Words’ which places an emphasis on on films by women, but also films where the main character is female. We salute this and you should too. So if you’re feeling like a (few) day(s) trip to France then we suggest heading on down and watching some shorts. Niceness

Comedy For Charity

We were thrilled to be part of the first comedy charity night started by Chris Aitken at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester this February. Chris has started the night, ShortCom, to give people a place to laugh at comedy films and all proceeds are going to help raise awareness of the charity CALM. Keep an eye out on his website to see when the next night is and links to all the other films screened. And do spread the word about the charity, a very worthy cause.

Pandavision

Furry friend Hallo Panda is screening on Channel 4 again this coming Sunday night/Monday morning which would be 22nd January. Screening at the delightfully late/early time of 2.05am it’s guaranteed late night viewing. So rest up, get some snacks, pop the kettle on and watch it in the thick of the night and the fog of the morning knowing that it will kick off your week the best way we know how. By watching a talking panda. It makes sense.
