The Blaine Brothers’ screenplay for a feature version of “Hallo Panda” was announced as a quarter finalist in this years’ Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition. Whoop and a-holler all round. A full list of quarter finalists can be found here. Give the bear a round of applause and, if you fancy, the two brothers behind the furry mayhem.
The CologneOFF festival has collated from over 517 films spanning over 40 countries a selection of films for their 5th anniversary. Founded in 2006, Wilfried Agricola de Cologne wanted a platform for films to be screened not just for 2 or 3 days a year but all the year round everyday to appeal to a wider audience online as well as partnership festival screenings. And what do you know, Lovely Laura’s “Tell” has been selected to be a part of their birthday celebrations. Congratulations to not only CologneOFF for their fifth year of running but to Laura who continues to impress the masses with her short film. *Clink, clink*
The vast catacombs of the Internet keeps things alive. People talk, people type and this ultimately gets people talking and typing more. Like a modern day gossip mill with a few more wires and less whispering in ears. First up we have the rather nice Kristen De Luca write on the Facebook page for Tigers about Hallo Panda. And in turn she found out about it from the film4 website as it sits on their front page looking all shiny and proper and screaming to be watched. So she does and she likes it a lot and tells this Facebook page who in turn then tells all their followers.

They also have a Twitter account which is how we found out about it. Job done and everyone happy. Especially us. And just look at some of the Lovely quotes people have left on there and we’d like to guide your eyeholes to the rating we’ve received so far… 4/5 stars. Based on 30 votes. Go us! We are a very happy bunch for having people talking and typing and giving our Panda love when it’s due.

Another Facebook quote from Lovely Person.
Thank you to Liam Baillie who commented on our Hallo Panda Facebook page. It has warmed our cockles up good and proper and we wanted to share the love over here as well as Facebook because that’s the kinda people we are.

Once again we’re back with more news for ‘Tell‘ and the Lady behind it, Laura Brocken. Laura’s film is part of the official selection for the summer Rooftop Film series this coming May 29th. There’s no stopping this film and the life it leads, it’s more travelled than all of the Charlie HQ put together. I’m starting to feel a little envious… But of course I’m cheering heartily all the while because Laura deserves it.
