Furry friend Hallo Panda is screening on Channel 4 again this coming Sunday night/Monday morning which would be 22nd January. Screening at the delightfully late/early time of 2.05am it’s guaranteed late night viewing. So rest up, get some snacks, pop the kettle on and watch it in the thick of the night and the fog of the morning knowing that it will kick off your week the best way we know how. By watching a talking panda. It makes sense.

Laugh Away The Cold

If you’re in the US that is as “0507” is screening as part of a special comedy programme by DC Shorts Festival on February the 4th. If you’re in the area we’re screening in the 5pm slot at Riot Act Comedy Theater alongside some other cracking comedy shorts and it seems we’re representing the UK side of things overall. Which is nice.

And what a nice way to start the year* that way too. So “0507” keeps entertaining the masses and what’s more, they’ve gone done voted for us to show their appreciation. The results are in from ‘Over The Fence‘ festival in that there Australia and we not only placed third in the Best Short Film category, but third in the Most Popular Short category too. Go us!

*It’s obligatory that because we’ve not seen you since last year that we say Happy New Year and all that. But the time has passed for us to buy you a New Year drink. Just thought we’d clear that up now. Maybe a hug?

LSFF 2012

The superb London Short Film Festival will be our first screening of 2012. Festival favourite and BIFA nominated (that’s never gonna get old) short “0507” will be showing as part of the New Shorts 22: Love & Happiness programme, on Saturday 14th January, 2012 at 12:00 at the Curzon Soho. And once again we’re screening alongside “It’s Natural To Be Afraid” by Justin Doherty and elsewhere in another segment Dee Meaden’s, “Jane Seeing Mark” is playing. So even more brilliant reasons you should come along and see most, if not all, wedges of the jam-packed programme they have on offer. This is the 9th year for this festival and we can vouch for how great it is. With an array of free Industry, Education and Networking events at its core and with short films to boot… It’s a keeper. Go along and get involved, say we sent you.

Kitty Is Finitely Funny

Long time collaborator (but still as fresh as she is hilariously funny) Cariad Lloyd’s character comedy slice Kitty, Kitty Romford landed on the front page of Finite Funnies early last week. Not that we need to tell you, but:

a) it’s funny

b) it has Cariad Lloyd in it

c) it has Adam Riches in it

d) all of the above.

BLAINES GOT BIFA-D

We are super chuffed and positively thrilled that we’ve been given a BIFA nomination for our short slice of funny, “0507“. The official announcement was on Monday October 31st at St. Martins Lane in London and now we can shout it from the chilly rooftops. WE HAVE BEEN NOMINATED FOR A BRITISH INDEPENDENT FILM AWARD! Of course it goes without saying that we have to thank our brilliant actors Cariad Lloyd and Fraser Millward. You’ll probably hear us saying this a few more times at least…

Aesthetica Short Film Festival

We’re proud to announce that new comedy short, “The Maestro” has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Aesthetica Short Film Festival! It will be screening in York from 3rd till 6th November and we hope you can make it along to support the festival. Let’s hope this is the first of many screenings for Beethoven!

Hallo Panda On Your TV

Hallo Panda will be hitting the early hours of your televisual screen on 2nd November at 2:45am. Before you ask it’s on Channel 4. So for all to see! (If you happen to be up at that unpanda-ly hour). If you don’t fancy staying up/getting up that ridiculously early, those with fancy recordable devices can set it to record. Then you can watch the furry fun at any time you wish, if your recording material records it. Niceness.

New Empress Film Quiz and Short Film Screening Night

Austin Film Festival 2011

We are super chuffed, thrilled and ecstatic that “0507” has been selected to be a part of this year’s programme at the Austin Film Festival. The festival doubles up as a conference and the two overlap to provide a hotly-tipped event running from October 20th till 27th. We’ll be screening as part of the Shorts 8 program on October 22nd at 7:15pm and October 26th at 9:30pm at the Hideout Theater. Panelists this year include Chuck Palahniuk, Shane Black, Scott Rosenberg and many more. Exciting, right? HELL YEAH.
